I’m always trawling the makeup counters and pharmacies for my next new love.
Here are a few of my current favourites.
Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray.
I use a setting spray on every client and for my own personal use so you could imagine how many different brands I’ve tried. This little beauty is currently at the top of my list, not only for it’s ability to actually work (kinda important) but also for the way it sprays onto the face. No big blobs, just a fine mist. I buy as many as I can carry when the sales are on, so if you head into a store and there’s none on the shelf….it was probably meeeeee.
Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Mascara
Rich and thick and doesn’t flake.
Just how I like em.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser
Not really new to me but more of an old favourite that I just repurchased.
I personally use the colour Fair.
Maybelline Superstay Better Skin
This one is on my weekly rotation for everyday wear. So far, I’m really enjoying the look, feel and wear of this foundation. I think it needs it’s own little review that I get upas soon as I’ve worn it a few more times. I have just used this foundation in a video tutorial, so I will post the link to it here once that video is live on my channel.
I’ve just realised that everything was from Maybelline. That was not on purpose…oh and not gifted either.
See you soon.
I’m a BIG fan of staying out of the sun and using sun protection in all it’s forms but after spending a little too much time in the sun on a recent trip to Phuket, I came home feeling the need for some extra TLC in the skincare department. Fortunately, I received a few skincare products to try and review ….one of them being the Peeling Groovy Facial Serum from Bliss…..a gentle exfoliating formula that says will lighten dark spots, brighten skin and retexturize for salon-worthy skin. Kinda read my mind on exactly what I needed.
I don’t like to rush to review products as I feel I need a good couple of weeks or so to truly see if I want to give them my little thumbs up on my blog.
Initially, I didn’t see any results, but I don’t think you should expect to see any changes that fast. It was around week 2 that I saw any noticeable difference….I must admit I was pleasantly surprised, especially since I hadn’t been as diligent with application as I should have been. Now, I don’t think anyone should expect miracles from any product, but you want to see something, right? What I noticed was that my skin had become much smoother in texture and there is actually glow! My décolletage has some pigmentation and sun damage (from years of being very naughty) and I have been seeing some areas of pigmentation totally disappearing….no joke. I don’t want to jump the gun here and get too excited so I’ll be continuing with the product to see how much more fading will happen…but I must say I’m totally impressed at this point. I wish I had taken a before and after pic…I’ll have to dig one up from somewhere and report back again in a month or so. Stay tuned…..
This is what the company says about how to use their product (and how I used it too):
Simply apply a thin layer of Peeling Groovy on clean skin, covering your face (and neck, décolleté and hands if necessary).
Wait 3-5 minutes before applying moisturizer (enough time to brush your teeth!) and wait for the magic to happen.
Don’t forget to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day whilst using this product, to protect your skin against undesirable skin pigmentation change.
*Peeling Groovy can be used for every skin type, because it’s free of AHAs (alpha hydroxyl acids) that often cause irritation, redness and flaking.

Soft pink cheeks, smokey nude eyes and lots of lashes were the order of the day for my stunning client Chelsea as she celebrated with friends and family at her Spring 2015 Debutante Ball this past weekend.
